- Plug Power & Backup Battery: Use the 5V DC adapter normally, while sustaining the feeder power via 3 alkalines D-cell batteries (NOT included) installed in case of power outages. Please plug in to use the feeder, do not use the battery alone. The battery is used for an emergency when the power is cut off.
